Emily Swe, the talented founder and director of Em Productions. After she pursued a computer art diploma, while working as a film and video editor, numerous films, music videos, and advertisements have been done. Afterward, she founded Em Post House, where she provided services such as editing, conversion, color correction, and DCP for both regional and global companies, as well as her filmmaker acquaintances. In a successful Myanmar cinema movie “The Stranger’s House”, Emily was nominated for her editing work at the 2019 Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Awards. Furthermore, her color graded short film “Cobalt Blue” by director Aung Phyo was officially selected by the Locarno International Film Festival and other international festivals. Emily worked as a post-production supervisor for three more feature films. She founded Em Productions in 2019 to make her own directing artworks and her debut TVC “Su Tway Htoo Shal 2020” is a countrywide hit. Emily directed a couple of video and film projects so far. While she focuses on her directing career, she also supports local filmmakers like Thaiddhi, Moe Myat May Zarchi, Lin Het Aung, and Soe Arkar Hun by working on their films’ post-production works. She is developing her first ever arthouse film “Finding Myself in My Memories” to be released next year.
