Han Oo Htet is a writer and a producer. He graduated from the University of West Yangon and later he completed Diploma in TV Broadcasting at MMDC Myanmar. He worked as a creative assistant as Forever BEC-Tero for one year. Then he worked as a Scriptwriter at Forever Group for two years and wrote several TV series scripts for Canal Plus Myanmar. During those years, he learned the production process from Myanmar Leading Entertainment Company and started to be interested in producing the film. After working for more than four years in television industry, he tried to find his own voice as he wishes to be a storyteller. His main interests are in Gender, LGBTQ, Human Psychology and Sexual Liberation. Then he joined independent film industry and work as a filmmaker on several projects with Omi Production. His first short documentary “Jar La” that he co-wrote and co-produced is now in post-production stage. He worked as an assistant producer in “Burn Boy” and it won the New Vision award at Wathann Film Festival in Myanmar. His first narrative short film “No Love Lost” that he produced has been selected and won the production grant at Memory! Cinema Myanmar Script fund 2022. In December 2022, No Love Lost has been selected as one of the participating projects in Purin Pictures Short Film Camps 2022. In 2023, he starts making his second documentary film as a director.
