Ei Mon Kyaw is a scriptwriter and filmmaker. She started her career as a scriptwriter since 2016. In 2018, she joined the Film and Society filmmaking workshop organized by FAMU & Wathann. In 2020, she made her first short film “Twenty Two” which was selected in Emerging Competition Section at Wathann Film Festival 2020 and won the Best Cinematography Award. In 2022, her second short film “Thirty”, won the YFS Short Narrative Film Pitching Award and Memory Short Film Grant 2022 and was selected in Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival 2023 as Asian Premiere. She tries to write stories related directly to her personal feelings and portray them through films.
