Can Dal started to shoot Documentary Films after Rainbow Reels Training in 2016 Her first film “A Simple Love story” won “Best Documentary Award” in Wathann Film Festival, 2017. Although receiving best documentary award, the film wasn’t allowed to be shown by local authorities, due to the last sentence of dialogues. The award and subsequent attention received over her refusal to abide by censor’s demands has made her a celebrated advocate for LGBTQ rights in Myanmar.
