One of our main intentions for Dosiciné is to connect Burmese filmmakers to Southeast Asia cinema. Most of the Burmese filmmakers are not easy to reach out with their projects/films to the international, even the Southeast Asia region.
Nowaday, young burmese filmmakers are getting an opportunity to reach out with their projects to the Southeast Asian region, especially Purin short film camp. In this camp, they have not only improved their storytelling but also filmmakers can learn from one another or from young southeast asian new wave filmmakers and their mentors in attendance. They have gained the experiences to ask questions, find some solutions to their thoughts and, we hope filmmakers would gain inspiration to take action.
In this discussion, Purin alumni filmmakers/producers from Myanmar will share their experiences of working on the project, how they have improved their vision when getting selected into the camp and what they change after the camp. They will emphasize how important the film dossiers are to get into the labs/markets and funding with their experiences.
If you are preparing for the next step of your projects, this discussion is for you.
